Tascam 424mkII 4-Track Cassette Recorder

This unit is used where the Fostex R8 is overkill. Sometimes one wants to quickly record an idea without the hassle of setting up masses of gear, and this is where the Tascam comes in. It has built in mic preamps and a mixer with 3-band EQs etc, and cassettes are really cheap. Tascam have recently discontinued their line of cassette multitrack machines, deciding to concentrate on digital hard disk recording, and it's for this reason I think they're fucked.
